Resources for Financing Adoptions
International adoptions can cost between $28,000 and $45,000. Therefore, it is important to do your homework in this area. With some thought and creativity, most can make it happen!
Grants and Loans:
2. The Abba Fund - www.abbafund.org - Provide financial assistance for parents who believe that God is calling them to grow their families through adoption and need help with the “cash flow crunch” posed by adoption expenses.
3. Life International - encourages Christian couples to adopt a child by relieving some of the financial burden of international and domestic adoption. A nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial support, information, and services for adoptive and prospective adoptive families, has recently expanded their programs to include home equity loans, as well as unsecured loans and grants for adoption expenses. Many employers offer adoption benefits. If you employer does not offer this benefit, call the number listed above for materials to guide you in requesting adoption assistance from your employer.
